let the sky fall

Had a little shoot with my sister in a new winter outfit (have I told you how incredibly cold it's been getting?!) that's becoming a definite favourite of mine.
I haven't been as busy the past week or so, school isn't too heavy. I would really like to thank you guys for the lovely comments I received on the last post, it does really mean a lot.
I've had quite a few rehearsals for upcoming performances, enjoyed seeing a dear friend baptised (in a creek...so awesome!), a wonderful sleep-over with this chic (and yes, we did go on another adventure and watched Les Mis), winter clothes shopping with Mum, finished level 2 German (well, except for the exam...eek!), no more classes 'till September (!), booked tickets to go and see Taylor Swift Red concert in Brisbane for Christmas (ahhhhhhhhh!!!!!), earned money cleaning church and planned a girly, splendid weekend with the girls!

so this was sunday

I bought a dress yesterday. Luckily today was church, so I had an excuse to wear it! I have been looking for a a dress for awhile that I won't actually freeze in and it proved a jewel with tights and a cardigan. I think I like the black and white leopardy pattern.

And then my grandparents came up from Brisbane for the day and we went to Queen's Park for a picnic. The weather was beautiful and I grabbed the chance to practice some portrait photography on my sisters.

I'm convinced I have the prettiest sisters in the world.
Eloise then insisted that she should take some photos of me and I complied.

All in all, it turned out to be a really lovely and fun filled day!

when the rain stopped

It has been raining all week. Briefly this morning, it stopped and I grabbed the chance and got my sister to take some photos of me in my new favourite winter outfit outside.

And then I thought of using my umbrella as a prop, even though it wasn't raining. : )

It was quite fun!

I'm really liking these wedges. A lot. And when I found an outfit to go with it, I jumped at the opportunity of sharing it with you all.
For most of the shoot that my sister and I had fun doing, I acted really silly and tried imitating fashion models unsuccessfully!
It was quite funny and I kept feeling too tall, (!) grown up and completely at loss as how to pose while Eloise snapped away.
Oh well, it was still enjoyable : )

p.s. i don't normally wear an outfit like the above. i just dressed up for fun. really, don't think i dress this fashionable or so dressy a lot.
