An Edwardian Garden Party

Tired of my dress-up party posts yet?! Well, if you're keen for more, then you've come to the right place.
On Saturday, I attended a sixteenth Edwardian garden party. It was for my dear friend, Eebee.
And of course an Edwardian garden party would not be complete without dressing up.

India made skirts for the two of us and I borrowed a blouse and gloves from friends who found them at an op-shop.

As for the hat, it was a Valley Girl treasure of my sister's. With a little tweaking and permission to borrow it, voila! I had an Edwardian hat.

India looked extremely lovely in her blouse and skirt. She really did an excellent job on sewing them.
We arrived at Eebee's gorgeous house and gardens with Makenzie and Alice and posed (while Eebee was getting dressed!) for Alice's mum.
The beautiful birthday lady.
Don't you just love her parasol?!
Laura and Hannah were Edwardian maids. They were so sweet.
All the girls in the garden.
And then we acted all snobby and posh when the maids decided to be in the photo!

I managed to get a photo of Eebee and I. She's such a lovely friend.

And that was the Edwardian garden party.
Simply beautiful.

xo,
Holly

  3. It was a great party. Imogen and I were hardly proper ladies, however, it was nice to laugh and be myself with a friend.

  4. YES indeed! Though I hadn't noticed that you were acting improper at all, thought that was more Imogen and Annie (not that they were being improper, just themselves!) : P
Byt yes I agree. It's nice to laugh and be yourself with friends.

That would make a great sweet sixteen or even a prom theme. We homeschool,so this is a wonderful idea to use for a youth group, or a homeschool event. Thanks so much for sharing this :]
