Well, die no longer, because here they are!!
Note: All photos on this post have either been taken by my parents or sister, India. Another post will have my photography!
So in case some of you are not aware of where we actually went, and what the point of the holiday was, then let me fill you in : )
We were originally planning to drive up to Cairns, Queensland in December to celebrate Christmas with Mum's side of the family. But it is extremely HOT in summer at the top of Australia and a bit unpleasant, so Mum thought why don't we drive up in the middle of winter and have 'Christmas in July' with our relatives instead. So we did, and stopped off at many different places on the way! We have driven to Cairns before along the east side of the Queensland coast before, but this time we decided to drive on the west side of Queensland through the hot, dusty country which was like being in a different world to Toowoomba or anywhere on the coast! A great experience, but I would NEVER live there! I am very much a city girl and probably will always be : ) After we stayed in Cairns for a week and celebrated 'Christmas' with rellies, we took the quick root home along the coast back to Toowoomba!
In a sapphire mine (we actually panend for sapphires and Isaac and myself found gem quality sapphires!!)
At the Stockman's Hall of Fame (basically all about living out in the country and the life of a farmer)
In a tiny town that Mum lived in for two years in primary school. We went and visited her old house, school and familiar places from her childhood!
Sophie is so cute : )
I think she said something really funny : )
Sophie: Holly, I wus you!
Me: Really? I love you too.
Cute : ) : ) : )
